Camp Tournesol: A Fun-Filled French Summer Camp for Grades SK–8

Camp Tournesol is a summer day camp designed for children entering Senior Kindergarten through Grade 8, offering an engaging environment that enhances French language skills through fun and immersive activities. Whether your child is beginning their French journey or is already in a French Immersion program, Camp Tournesol provides tailored programming to meet their needs and boost their confidence in speaking French.

Program Streams:

French Foundations (Ages 4–12): Ideal for students new to French or enrolled in Core French programs, focusing on vocabulary building, pronunciation, and basic conversation.
French Mastery (Ages 4–12): Designed for children already in French Immersion or with strong French proficiency, emphasizing fluency, comprehension, and more advanced language use.
Counsellor-in-Training (Ages 12–16): For older campers seeking French fluency while developing leadership skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Weekly Themes for 2025:

Harry Potter Wizarding World: June 30–July 2–4 & July 28–August 1
Rock Star Boot Camp: July 7–11 & August 5–8
Barbie’s Dream World: July 14–18 & August 11–15
Pokémon Madness: July 21–25 & August 18–22

Each week is filled with theme-based activities that make learning French feel like play. Campers participate in games, crafts, and performances that align with the weekly theme, all while enhancing their French vocabulary and conversational skills.

Special Weekly Events:

Water Day Thursdays: Campers enjoy water games and activities at a nearby splash pad (weather permitting).
Festival Fridays: A celebration of the week’s adventures, where campers showcase their learning through performances and creative presentations.
