Trois – Pistoles Western University’s French Immersion School

For ninety years, Western University and the people of Trois-Pistoles have been engaged in a partnership in language education that embodies the best of the Canadian spirit. Western University's French Immersion School is located in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec, approximately 230km from Quebec City. The school offers both degree-credit and non-credit French language courses from introductory to advanced levels, as well as challenging workshops, and a wide range of social and cultural events to its participants.

An integral part of the immersion program in Trois-Pistoles is the homestay experience.  All program participants are placed with a specially chosen Quebecois family for room and board for the entire session, allowing for a true linguistic and cultural exchange.

Most programs are offered during the spring and summer months (May to August) and can include:

• Degree-credit courses for postsecondary students
• Non-credit immersion programs for adults
• A French Teachers program
• A Family French Immersion program

In Trois-Pistoles, French is the language of everyday life: on the streets, in shops, restaurants, and homes. The whole town is your campus – a living language laboratory.  Join us!
