Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières – École internationale de français
The Université du Québec à Trois - Rivières (UQTR) was established in 1969 and is a campus of the Université du Québec, located in Trois - Rivières, Quebec. The university has 14,510 students in 8 different campuses, including the main one in Trois-Rivières. UQTR offers nearly 150 programs at three levels of study. UQTR is also the first North American university, and in the Francophone world, to offer an undergraduate Doctor of Chiropractic and has pioneered in fall 2004 undergraduate doctorate in podiatric medicine.
Situated halfway between Montreal and Québec, close to the St.Lawrence Seaway, l'École internationale de français of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières has been offering a range of French immersion programs since 1974. They offer educational and training programs for students of all ages including children and families with children age 6+ who want to learn French together. The school also offers Enseignant, a French immersion program designed specifically for post secondary students, teachers and professionals.
All participants find themselves in an entirely francophone environment, since the majority of the population in Trois-Rivières speaks exclusively in French.
