Youth Drama Festival

The Festival théâtre jeunesse de l'Alberta is a four-day event that offers young French-speaking theatre artists the chance to present a theatrical production to a jury and audience of their peers. As well as to develop their skills through workshops led by professional artists.

The Festival is open to francophone and French immersion junior/senior high schools and the plays are judged by age category (grades 7-9 and 10-12). At the end of the Festival, an awards ceremony celebrates the various aspects of producing theatre. Including costumes and makeup, set design, technical support, the script, the acting, and the production as a whole.
