Acadian Museum of Prince Edward Island

Heritage is an important source of identity for a people living in a minority situation, so the Acadian Museum of Prince Edward Island aims to create greater awareness and pride among Acadians in the Island regarding their history, their culture and their French language.

The Acadian Museum of Prince Edward Island contributes to the survival and development of the Acadian community of Prince Edward Island.

The museum offers a variety of activities such as exhibition openings, lectures and music performances. There are also annual events, such as Christmas at the Museum, activities during Heritage Week and Celebrations of the Francophonie.

Throughout the school year, the Acadian Museum offers a school program with guided tours offered to groups of students from schools in Prince Edward Island and elsewhere.
