McMichael Canadian Art Collection

McMichael is located in the village of Kleinburg, just minutes north of Toronto. It is exclusively dedicated to the exhibition of Canadian art. The permanent collection consists of almost 6,000 artworks by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven and their contemporaries, as well as Aboriginal artists and other contemporary artists that have marked Canada's artistic heritage.

The McMichael provides students of all ages the perfect setting to experience and enjoy the world of Canadian art. Among the topics that can be addressed in a tour of the gallery or the outdoors are: Aboriginal (First Nations, Inuit), landscape painting, the "discovery". Guided group tours are available in French for groups of fifteen or more.
