Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue
Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue is a public university within the Université du Québec network, with campuses in Val-d'Or and Rouyn-Noranda. The mission of l'UQAT is to transfer learning and to help students develop their own tools to better understand the universe. It was founded in 1970 and now offers 95 programs in: administration, accounting, teaching, engineering, multimedia, psychology, nursing, social work, interactive multimedia, youth communications and art therapy. Students can choose to specialize in the following engineering disciplines: Electromechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Most programs are offered in French and some programs are offered in English.
