L’Association canadienne des professionnels de l’immersion (ACPI)
L'Association canadienne des professionnels de l'immersion (ACPI) is a professional organization whose mission is to participate in the promotion and contribution to the development of a bilingual Canada by rallying French Immersion educators as well as partners from all regions of the country.
This, the cornerstone of French Immersion in Canada, ACPI guides and enriches immersive pedagogy in Canada.
ACPI offers training, educational resources in French, research and networking. It also provides educators with strong support as well as numerous possibilities for professional development all while inspiring a pedagogical dialogue in French.
Concours Immersion Clip
The annual Concours Immersion Clip, by l'Association canadienne des professionnels de l'immersion (ACPI), invites students from grades 9 to 12 in French Immersion (secondary 3 to 5 in Quebec) enrolled full time at a secondary school (public or private) in Canada to create a 30 to 90 second video clip in French, based on the theme of the year.
The students can win a scholarship to the University of Ottawa, l'Université Sainte-Anne, l'Université Saint-Paul, University of Sudbury or Glendon College AND a gift certificate from l'Association canadienne des professionnels de l'immersion!
Congrès annuel de l'ACPI
Each year, l'Association canadienne des professionnels de l'immersion (ACPI) organizes a conference which is THE annual gathering of professionals in the immersion community from across the country. From Victoria to St-John's, in passing by Yellowknife and Thunder Bay, professionals from across Canada meet for a few days to take in a breath of inspiration. All while taking advantage of high-level professional development, allowing attendees to be on the lookout for the latest trends in immersive pedagogy. The 2019 conference will be from the 7th to 9th of November 2019 in the provincial capital of Quebec, Quebec City.
